For those of you that don't know, we had an overwhelming weekend with the boys.  Brian and I finally admitted that we've been giant failures as dog owners when it has come to our grooming responsibilities.  We were in a great rhythm until the last couple of months.  Life has just been moving really quickly and  our yard is...well...a dirt box.  Anyhow, their fur has gotten out of control.  I reached a breaking point where I couldn't handle it anymore.

Our boys are now hairless.

I am pleased to say they are still adorable (though slightly ridiculous looking).  They've taken on a much more poodle-likeness.

If you need to giggle, please do so, just not to their faces.  They're still convinced that they're complete studs.

If you didn't think that Daijo looked like a muppet before, you'll have a hard time denying that he looks like Animal now.
And here's a side shot, just for perspective...

And a couple more landscape/barn shots.  (For my mom, cause every time I see a scene like this, I think of her)

You know that scene from the Wizard of Oz, where Dorothy ends up in the poppy field, completely surrounded by flowers as far as the eye could see?  And it's pretty, but it's also kind of ominous, because it's so surreal?  Yeah. That's what this felt like.

I took a photography class today.  It was interesting.  I got to go up north and experience the tulip festival for the first time.  Not all of them were in bloom yet, but it was really pretty. I don't necessarily enjoy taking pictures of landscape-y stuff like this, but if was fun - I feel like I learned a lot from the class, and I don't think the pictures turned out too badly...

We spent this weekend away with the boys up at Mount Baker.  We got to take our furry, dirty beasts on their first trails.  That was pretty cool and incredibly relaxing...

Happy Birthday to my Dad!

Quick jump to a work trip to Orlando.

We were able to spend an evening volunteering at Give Kids the World.  It was a beautiful experience.  I feel so lucky for all the blessings in my life.

These shots were taken on the way from Richmond to Cincinnati to see my sis.  There isn't much I miss about the midwest other than my family, but the old buildings are definitely one of those things...

It's finally time to start getting caught up!  I bit the bullet and spent a whopping $5 to upgrade my storage so I can keep on posting pictures here until I figure out what the next step is.

So, now I need to start playing catch-up.  I may not be writing as much for the next few posts, but at least I can get some of the pictures uploaded.  I got to spend some time in Indiana a few weeks ago on the way to a work trip.  My mom and I took almost a whole day to play with our cameras.  Her friend, Jim, took us to his studio and then up to the upper, decimated floors of the place to have some fun with light.  I was able to get this wonderful shot of my beautiful mother.  What a wonderful day full of great memories!
