Looking for the Question

So many people are brave enough to embark on a "photo-a-day" project. I'm incredibly jealous of these folks and I've wracked my brain trying to figure out if I'm creative enough to tackle something so ambitious. I've realized something...I'm not. There's no way I can force myself to find something everyday worthy of taking a picture. But, I can focus on other things...namely, things for which I can be thankful. So, that’s my challenge. 365 days of being thankful...it's a goal, not a promise

Major home improvements have been taking place around here. It's only taken us a year, but we're finally starting to make this place our own. In addition to hauling tons (literally) of trash out off of our property over the past few weekends, Brian and I also did a little bit of shopping. The biggest purchase was installed on Friday.

The focal point of our living room went from this:

Oh yeah. That's our new clydesdale. Isn't it sexy? Our electric bill is going to think it's pretty sexy this winter, too. We couldn't be more pleased with ourselves on this one.

The boys couldn't figure out what all the fuss was about. That's okay. They'll enjoy it once it gets chilly around here.

I like the insert, for some reason I thought it would be brass, but I really like the "silver" look. Very nice.

Oh my. I think we could safely say that I would never willingly let anything brass be installed in this house...
