Anyhow, at the end of today's meetings, we were supposed to take a tour of the USS Midway. We had planned to start the tour at 4pm. When we got there, we all found out that the museum closed for tours at 4pm. This is Chad (who's heart was set on seeing this ship) explaining the change of plans to all of us. It's nice that everyone I work with is so laid back. No one is phased by changes in plans. Here are a few shots of my coworkers while on the ferry to dinner.
So many people are brave enough to embark on a "photo-a-day" project. I'm incredibly jealous of these folks and I've wracked my brain trying to figure out if I'm creative enough to tackle something so ambitious. I've realized something...I'm not. There's no way I can force myself to find something everyday worthy of taking a picture. But, I can focus on other things...namely, things for which I can be thankful. So, that’s my challenge. 365 days of being thankful...it's a goal, not a promise

I don't like taking pictures during meetings, but by not posting any, it's really making it look like we didn't work at all this week. I assure you, the meetings were plenty. Besides, I just didn't take a lot of pictures this week. There were a couple of other people with cameras and it started to feel like the paparazzi was following all of us around. I didn't want to add to that.

We took a break from the meeting today to go and cook lunch for all the families at the Ronald McDonald House in San Diego. I didn't take most of these pictures because I was busy in the kitchen, but it was a humbling experience. I can't even begin to comprehend what these families go through watching their children suffer so much...
After lunch was served, the CEO took us on a tour of the facility. It's a beautiful place that I'm sure stands as a welcoming beacon to most of the families that have to use it.

We took the boys to Shakespeare in the Park tonight to see As You Like It. I'm not sure how much they actually enjoyed the play, but they certainly enjoyed all the attention. They were so well behaved. I couldn't have been prouder. I"m not gonna lie, I think the owner of the funky looking dog sitting next to us was a little jealous...
Daijo just sat around looking cute.
But Venn totally stole his thunder when he passed out in Brian's lap...

I know, I have been horrible about posting updates to the blog. Things have just been a little bit hectic around here recently. I don't even have a good excuse, so I won't give one. I have been taking some pictures, though, so I'm going to try and play catch up :)
Today, I discovered the joy of wedging chicken jerky into kongs and watching the boys go insane. It was delightful.
