I don't really know what it was exactly, perhaps just a combination of familiarity and comfort, but there was a closeness about them that I found really beautiful.

We went to the Northwest Folklife Festival this evening. Once again, allow me a moment to gush about this city. How cool is it that Seattle is always having some sort of festival like this and I can actually walk there from where I live? We strolled around a little - had a beer and a brat and then wound up at the Storytellers venue. I have to admit, the actual story-telling wasn't all that impressive, but there was this older couple that came in and sat down in front of us.
